• Experienced with Drip management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the Progressive Care Unit.
• Ensure flexibility with weekend shifts as required.
• Floating to Med-Surg and ICU may be necessary.

Job Title – RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Location – Indianapolis, IN

Pay – $2176 – $2464/wk

Schedule Details – Night, 3X12

Job Description –
IU Health is now offering charge pay, which is a $3.00 bill rate bump per hour.
Must be flexible with weekend requirements; travelers must work 50% of weekends in their contract.
Refusal to float may result in contract termination.
IU Health facilities require all travel nurses to agree to precepting or shadowing students.
First-time travelers accepted.
Locals: Not accepted.
Call-ins: Must make up shifts or have shifts added at the end of the contract depending on FTE.
Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, charge nurse responsibilities may be assigned with training.
Certification Requirements: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS.
Skillset Requirements: Minimum 2 years, Telemetry, Neuro experience, Drip management.
Preferences: Conscious Sedation, Level 1 Trauma experience.
Floating: May float to Med-Surg, PCU, ICU with resources provided.
Staffing Ratios: 1:3-4, rarely 5 during emergencies.
Unit Info: CVAs, Hydrocephalus, brain tumors, seizures, TBIs, trauma, GI surgeries, wound care.
Effective 11/30/24, IN RNs cannot work at IU Health facilities, with some exceptions.
Shift: Night 3×12-Hour (19:00 – 07:30)
