Job summary

TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center in Smyrna, TN, is hiring an RN to deliver direct patient care in a supportive, patient-centered environment. You will work within an interdisciplinary team and participate in performance improvement initiatives to uphold our mission.

Requirements include RN license, TN Board of Nursing, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and at least 1 year of clinical nursing experience; the facility offers competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• RN from accredited school of nursing.
• Current Tennessee Board of Nursing licensure.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• One year of clinical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess plans and evaluate patient care needs and carry out physician orders.
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, cleanse wounds, monitor vital signs.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation systems.
• Instruct and educate patients and families as part of a Multidisciplinary Care Planning team.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.

Utilizes therapeutic communication in daily practice.Maintains a safe therapeutic environment.Identifiesnursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient. Registered Nurse plans individualized patient care whileutilizingan interdisciplinary approach.Participates in performance improvement activities.Provides care and coordinates participation that fosters the goals of the hospital’s mission and vision statement.

When acting inchargenurserole, registered nursesare responsible forday-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a therapeutic environment.Make staff assignments based on patient need,acuityand the skill of the staff. Serve as role models and clinicalresourcefor the staff.Respond in a timely manner torequests forinformation or follow-up with physician, staff or patient issues.

What you will do in this role:
