Job summary

TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center is seeking a Progressive Care Nurse to join our nursing team in Smyrna, TN. This role provides direct patient care within the Registered Nurse practice act and will participate in multidisciplinary care planning to support optimal patient outcomes.

The candidate will perform patient assessments, administer medications, monitor vitals, and educate patients and families as part of a collaborative care team.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure with Tennessee Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• One year of clinical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient care plans and carry out physician orders.
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, cleanse wounds, monitor vital signs.
• Monitor and document patient conditions using computerized systems.
• Instruct and educate patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary care planning team.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.

Utilizes therapeutic communication in daily practice.Maintains a safe therapeutic environment.Identifiesnursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient. Registered Nurse plans individualized patient care whileutilizingan interdisciplinary approach.Participates in performance improvement activities.Provides care and coordinates participation that fosters the goals of the hospital’s mission and vision statement.

When acting inchargenurserole, registered nursesare responsible forday-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a therapeutic environment.Make staff assignments based on patient need,acuityand the skill of the staff. Serve as role models and clinicalresourcefor the staff.Respond in a timely manner torequests forinformation or follow-up with physician, staff or patient issues.

What you will do in this role:
