Job summary

University of Kentucky nurses in the Progressive Care Pool provide per diem, on-call coverage for Progressive/Universal patients at UKHC locations. The role emphasizes comprehensive, patient-centered care with collaboration among nursing staff and physicians.

Shifts are 7PM–7:30AM with some weekends/holidays; per-diem pay reflects shifts worked, with higher rates for night and weekend coverage. ADN-educated RNs are encouraged to apply with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky RN license and BLS for Healthcare Providers
• ADN required
• On-call schedule experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide total nursing care including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Deliver direct patient care and ensure patient satisfaction.
• Coordinate care with Nursing Care Technicians and physicians.
