Job summary

Lexington Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Cardiac Unit on a PRN basis (PM/N shift, 7PM-7:30AM) in Columbia, SC. You will utilize the nursing process to promote and restore patients’ health, collaborate with physicians, and provide emotional and educational support to patients and families.

You must hold an ADN, Diploma, or BSN and an active SC RN license. Prior critical care or ED exposure is beneficial, and you will work within the Lexington Health team to uphold

Qualifications

• ADN, Diploma or Bachelors of Science in Nursing required.
• Current RN license to practice in South Carolina.
• New graduates must have completed LMC Nurse Residency Program or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Establishes positive rapport with patient and family.
• Provides education to patient and family about condition, medications and self-care.
• Documents all patient care activities accurately and timely.
• Maintains infection-control policies and protocols.
