Job summary

Vernon Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking an experienced RN Program Manager for the Vernon, CT facility. The role oversees Long-Term Care and Short-Term Care operations to ensure residents receive high-quality care and services.

Responsibilities include policy interpretation, supervision, rounds, emergencies, and ensuring accurate medical records. Leadership during DNS/ADNS absence with duties as charge nurse may be required, plus participation in meetings with leadership.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Connecticut; geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• Minimum three years in nursing with supervisory experience.
• Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret nursing policies and ensure proper implementation.
• Supervise and coordinate nursing care; provide education and mentoring.
• Make rounds to ensure care quality; communicate with families as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and provide medical oversight.
• Ensure accurate and complete medical records and physician orders.
• Secure pre-admission reports and maintain resident safety.
