Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a registered nurse to assess, plan, and provide direct patient care across multiple physicians and teams. The role includes developing education for staff and monitoring patient outcomes as part of a collaborative care approach.

The incumbent will ensure documentation, regulatory compliance, and active participation in performance improvement initiatives within the program.

Qualifications

• Current PA RN licensure or current multi-state licensure through the eNLC program; CEU may be required.
• 1–3 years of experience in the field of specialty.
• BSN (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assess, develops, and administers plan of care with documentation and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Communicates with attending physician regarding plan of care and involves physician in decisions outside RN scope.
• Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education based on individual needs.
• Coordinates patient care with patient, family, community health services, and interdisciplinary team.
• Coordinates administrative functions for the program, including staffing coverage and/or marketing activities.
• Participates in department and hospital performance improvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
