•Department:Radiation Oncology

•Schedule: M-F Day Shift | No Weekends or Holidays

•Starting Pay: 35.20+/hr. (Offers are based on years of experience and equity for this role.)

•Location: St. Mary's Hospital - St. Louis

  • Rooming follow ups and consults
  • Seeing on treatment patients for weekly visits
  • Ordering labs, imaging studies, procedures, PT
  • Scheduling follow ups, consults, Brachytherapy cases, fiducials
  • Monitoring patient during Brachytherapy cases
  • Prepping Equipment for Brachytherapy cases and Sterile Processing of instruments
  • Following up on EPIC Work Queue and In Basket
  • Obtaining records
  • Completing patient disability/FMLA papers
  • Working with social worker for patient needs
  • Working with other depts inside and outside of SSM
  • Supporting and communicating with physician and team for patient needs
  • Attend weekly chart rounds to review patients

Provides coordination of the activities and flow of work for the assigned clinical program.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitates the development, implementation and evaluation of program services and initiatives.
  • Plans, implements, evaluates, and coordinates appropriate patient care.
  • Maintains program documentation and review to support regulatory and compliance regulations.
  • Assists with determining appropriate training for the staff and developing the learning program.
  • Collaborates with advanced practice providers to ensure quality outcomes.
  • Collaborates with others to assist with problem identification and resolution, cost containment issues, implementation of new services, and systems/performance measures.
  • May participate in injury prevention initiatives and/or activities.
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience


EXPERIENCE

  • Three years' registered nurse experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
  • Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Rare climbing.

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS

Resuscitation Certification Requirement: Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) required within 90 day of employment. Other resuscitation certifications may be required dependent on department.
