Job summary

University Health System in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Process Improvement Analyst RN to collaborate with Accreditation Service staff and clinical operations to abstract data, analyze trends, and derive corrective action plans to meet regulatory standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in healthcare, 2+ years of quality improvement analytics, and a Texas RN/LVN license; Performance Improvement certification is preferred or obtainable within 12 months.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field.
  • +2 years quality improvement, analytics, and/or informatics experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Performance Improvement Certification required or obtainable within 12 months of hire.
  • RN or LVN licensure from the Texas Board of Nursing or recognized compact state license, preferred.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Exercise independent judgement and able to make independent decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with development and implementation of regulatory education for staff.
  • Abstract data for analysis, observe and report on trends, create corrective action plans.
  • Collaborate with assigned departments on specific metrics.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
