Job summary

MercyOne Medical Group in Des Moines is seeking a registered nurse to provide individualized, high-quality care to patients of all ages. The role uses a team approach to coordinate care across admission, transfer and discharge, and requires adherence to the Nurse Practice Act and Mercy policies.

You will work day shifts with rotating weekends and holidays, and must hold an Iowa RN license and BLS, with completion of mandated reporter training within three months; English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Possession of a current or compact state license as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification within six weeks of hire.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three months of hire.
• Ability to read, write and speak English language.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Independently delivers nursing care using the Nurse Practice Act, Mercy Medical Center policies, nursing standards, ethical principles, and professional judgment. Works rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Job duties may vary by shift or may be unit-specific.

• Possession of a current or compact state license as a Registered Nurse issued/defined by the State of Iowa.
• Basic Life Support certified within six (6) weeks of hire. The acceptable credentialing body is the American Heart Association.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to populations served within three (3) months of hire.
• Ability to read, write and speak English language.
