Job summary

Vitruvian Health in Georgia is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit to provide direct patient care using the nursing process. The role requires managing care for patients with rapid turnover and high census, and responds to changing clinical needs.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate Degree in Nursing, a Georgia RN license (or multi-state per eNLC), and Basic Life Support. ICU/PACU experience is preferred; on-call shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited program; or will obtain prior to working as RN.
• Current Georgia RN license or multi-state license per eNLC; or will obtain before starting.
• Prior ICU or PACU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Must be able to manage the care of assigned patients and cope with rapid patient turnover and high census. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to patients of all ages.JOB QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program or will obtain prior to working as a RN. Successful completion of the Basic Arrhythmia Class, Moderate Sedation Class, ACLS, and PALS within 90 days of hire.Licensure: Current Georgia RN or a multi-state license meeting eNLC criteria professional licensure or will obtain prior to beginning work as a RN. BLS CPR requiredExperience: Prior ICU or PACU experience preferred.Skills: Routine and critical care nursing skills.PHYSICAL, MENTAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONSProlonged walking and standing required, with the ability to lift and move patients. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to tolerate rapid patient turnover and high census. Works in typical PACU setting with patients experiencing a wide range of surgical procedures and anesthetics. Required to work an on call schedule.
