Job summary

Vitruvian Health, formerly Hamilton Health Care System, is seeking a RN for the PACU to provide direct patient care in the post anesthesia setting using the nursing process. The role requires managing care for patients with high census and rapid turnover, across ages, in a fast-paced PACU environment.

Applicants must have an Associate degree in Nursing, BLS CPR, and licensure meeting eNLC criteria; ACLS/PALS will be completed within 90 days of hire, with ICU/PACU experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia, Moderate Sedation, ACLS, and PALS within 90 days of hire.
• Licensure: Current Georgia RN or multi-state license meeting eNLC criteria.
• BLS CPR required.
• Experience: Prior ICU or PACU experience preferred.
• Skills: Routine and critical care nursing skills.

JOB SUMMARY

Provides direct patient care to the patients in the post anesthesia setting using the nursing process. Must be able to manage the care of assigned patients and cope with rapid patient turnover and high census. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to patients of all ages.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program or will obtain prior to working as a RN.
• Successful completion of the Basic Arrhythmia Class, Moderate Sedation Class, ACLS, and PALS within 90 days of hire.
• Licensure: Current Georgia RN or a multi-state license meeting eNLC criteria professional licensure or will obtain prior to beginning work as a RN.
• BLS CPR required.
• Experience: Prior ICU or PACU experience preferred.
• Skills: Routine and critical care nursing skills.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS

• Prolonged walking and standing required, with the ability to lift and move patients.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to tolerate rapid patient turnover and high census.
• Works in typical PACU setting with patients experiencing a wide range of surgical procedures and anesthetics.
• Required to work an on call schedule.
