Job summary

University Hospitals Pain Management in Ohio is seeking a dedicated nurse to provide age-specific surgical care on our acute care floors. You will implement the nursing process, deliver safe, effective care, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes on Bariatric, Neurological, Orthopedic, and General Surgical services.

The role emphasizes leadership, ongoing professional development, and strict adherence to UH policies, annual PHI training, and the UH Code of Conduct.

A Brief Overview

2 Surgical is a 17 bed Surgical Acute Care floor that specializes in Bariatric, Neurological, Orthopedic and Gender Care patient surgeries.

7 Surgical is a 26 bed General Surgical/Medical floor that care for general surgery patients, as well as overflow from our sister 2 Surgical floor

Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.

What You Will Do

• Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care.
• Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.
• Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations.
• Develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing.
• Displays leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes.
