Job summary

AdventHealth in Winter Park, Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a PRN schedule. You will assess patients, develop care plans, administer medications, educate families, and coordinate with the medical team to provide holistic care.

Candidates must hold an Associate's in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred), be licensed as an RN, and have BLS. The role requires EKG competency, and weekend coverage may be required; benefits start from day one.

Qualifications

Active RN license and BLS/CPR certification required.
1+ year of experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
EKG competency and basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
Develop and implement individualized care plans and regularly revise them.
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols; monitor for adverse reactions.
Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and self-care.
Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
Maintain accurate documentation of care activities and outcomes in the medical record.
