Job summary

Tennessee Quality Care Hospice is seeking a PRN RN to join our team in Camden, TN. We offer a supportive environment, flexible hours, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' and families' lives.

As Needed primarily Monday–Friday with some weekend availability; serving Camden and surrounding counties. You will work with a compassionate team dedicated to high-quality patient care and provide comprehensive nursing support to patients at home or in the field.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program.
  • Licensed as a registered nurse in the state of practice.
  • Maintains a current CPR certification.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, family members, visitors, and public.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with patient and family caseload including assessment, eligibility, admission, planning, implementation and evaluation phases of the nursing process.
  • Obtain data from patient and family factors that may impact care and initiate intervention with the team.
  • Coordinate optimal care by communicating with the physician, interdisciplinary team and other agencies.
  • Provide visits to reassess patient needs and update the plan of care.
  • Perform nursing procedures as directed by the physician.
  • Perform clinical pronouncement of death and provide support to family.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, charts, progress notes, and care plans.

What Youll Do
  • Assist with the responsibility for patient and family caseload including the assessment determine eligibility admission processing planning implementation and evaluation phases of the nursing process
  • Obtain data and assess necessary information from patient physical psychological social and spiritual factors that may impact patient and familys needs and initiate intervention by other members of the interdisciplinary team
  • Initiate communication with the attending physician interdisciplinary team and other agencies for the purpose of coordinating optimal care
  • Provide visits to re assess the patients needs and update the plan of care
  • Perform therapeutic preventative and rehabilitative nursing procedures as directed by the attending physician
  • Perform clinical pronouncement of death and provide support to family
  • Maintain accurate patient records charts progress notes reports and prepare care plans timely
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program
  • Licensed as a registered nurse in the state of practice
  • Maintains a current CPR certification
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients family members visitors agency personnel and general public
  • Valid drivers license and proof of insurance is required
