Job summary

United Surgical Partners International Inc (USPI) is seeking a motivated PreOp Registered Nurse to join the Doctors United Surgery Center team in Pasadena, CA. The RN provides perioperative nursing care, follows the medical plan of care, and supports the organization’s mission during perioperative services for diverse patient populations.

The role requires flexibility for some later evenings and weekday work only, with no holiday, weekend shifts, or on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU.
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred.
• Must have current BLS, ALS and PALS.
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed.

USPI Doctors United Surgery Center, is seeking a motivated PreOp Registered Nurse to join our team. Doctors United Surgery Center is a fast-paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required.

Job Summary: The PreOp RN is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The RN provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The RN supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The RN reports to the Manager of Peri-operative Services.

Experienced in supporting in the following specialties: Orthopedics, ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology.
