Job summary

United Surgical Partners International (USPI) seeks a motivated PreOp Registered Nurse for our Pasadena area ASC. The RN will provide perioperative patient care, following the nursing process and physician plan of care. The role emphasizes safe, family-centered care in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Position requires weekdays only with some late evenings; no holidays or weekends. Prior PreOP/PACU experience and ASC familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Must hold an unrestricted RN license in California.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • 1–3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU.
  • Ambulatory surgical center experience strongly preferred.
  • Current BLS, ALS and PALS.
  • Solid knowledge of surgical procedures and perioperative patient management.
  • Strong aseptic technique and adaptability.

Job Summary:

ThePreOp RN is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The RN provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The RN supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The RN reports to the Manager of Peri-operative Services.

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required.

Experienced in supporting in the following specialties: Orthopedics, ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology.

Qualifications:
  • Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU
  • Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
