Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Surgicare Garland is seeking a Registered Nurse for Preop/PACU to ensure safe, continuous care before and after anesthesia. The role involves evaluating patient conditions, maintaining comfort and safety, and supporting physicians in the operating rooms with sedation and sterile techniques.

Requires RN licensure in the state, graduation from an accredited nursing program, BLS/ACLS, and preferred 2 years in PACU or critical care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients in PreOp/PACU.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile technique.
• Deliver total patient care from anesthesia to discharge planning.
