Job summary

Regent Surgical Health’s Surgery Center of Wasilla is seeking a full-time RN in PreOp/PACU to deliver comprehensive perioperative care, assess patients prior to surgery, monitor vitals, manage IV therapies, and ensure patient safety and comfort from admission through discharge.

You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff, document care accurately, interpret orders, prepare the surgical site, administer preoperative meds, monitor recovery, and support pain management

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of nursing experience.
• RN license in the state where practice occurs.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients preoperatively and prepare them for surgery.
• Monitor vital signs and airway function during perioperative period.
• Administer preoperative medications and IV fluids as needed.
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists for patient care.
• Assist in patient recovery and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and equipment readiness.
