Surgery Center of Wasilla is seeking an RN for Perioperative PreOp/PACU care on a per diem (PRN) basis. You will prepare patients for surgery, monitor during the perioperative period, and discharge planning with families.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing preferred.

Aufgaben

• Evaluate patients’ physical and mental health and prepare them for surgery.
• Explain the surgical procedure and expectations to patient and family.
• Ensure proper surgical site preparation, informed consent, and safety protocols.
• Perform venipuncture and blood draws as needed.
• Communicate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and surgical team for seamless care.
• Monitor vital signs and recovery from anesthesia.
• Administer pain medication and manage post-operative pain.

Ausbildung

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing
