Job summary

Rocky Mountain Endoscopy is seeking a PRN Preop/PACU Registered Nurse to join our team in Colorado. The RN will provide comprehensive care before and after anesthesia, implement physician orders, and ensure patient safety throughout perioperative processes.

Qualifications include CO RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and PACU/ICU experience. Strong communication and initiative are essential; ASC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Colorado Registered Nurse license.
  • BLS, ACLS and PALS current.
  • PACU/ICU experience required.
  • Experience in perioperative process and anesthesia implications.
  • Good communication and human relations skills.

Responsibilities

  • Implement physician orders and provide continuous nursing care.
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patients pre- and post-anesthesia care.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort and privacy; assist physicians as needed.
  • Prepare patients for discharge and provide family education.

Job description

Rocky Mountain Endoscopy is hiring a PRN Preop/Pacu RN to join our team!

Preop/PACU Registered Nurse at Rocky Mountain Endoscopy:

Under the direct supervision of the Pre-Op/PACU manager, the PACU nurse is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients'' condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all time. At times, assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation and utilizing sterile technique as deemed appropriate. Responsible for providing total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation. Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • CurrentCO Registered Nurse License
  • Current BLS, ACLS and PALS
  • ASC experience a plus
  • Experience in PACU/ ICU required
  • Good communication and human relations skills
  • Ability to organize and follow through on own initiative.
  • Thorough knowledge of all phases of perioperative process including knowledge of surgical procedures and anesthesia implications.
