Job summary

United Surgical Partners International Inc (USPI) is seeking a PreOp/PACU RN in Durango to deliver continuous patient care before and after anesthesia. The role emphasizes safety, comfort, and privacy while supporting physicians during procedures.

Part-time shifts may be available, with a Monday–Friday schedule and no nights or weekends. Requirements include active Colorado RN license, BLS/ACLS (PALS if required), and 2 years PACU/ICU experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Colorado.
• BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS if center requires.
• Two years of PACU or critical care experience preferred.
• Ability to make nursing judgments and prioritize workloads.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients.
• Evaluate patient condition, ensuring safety, comfort and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with sedation and sterile technique.
• Plan, implement and evaluate patient care from admission to discharge.

Durango Surgery Center is hiring a PreOp/PACU RN

PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse at Durango Surgery Center:

The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
