USPI Pearland Surgery Center is seeking a motivated Pre-Op/PACU RN to join our team for weekday coverage with one Saturday per month. We operate two main OR rooms and two endoscopy rooms, serving orthopedic, ENT, urology, colorectal, and other specialties.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Texas Nursing License.
• Current BLS and ACLS required.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Pre-Op/PACU; ambulatory setting preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, direct organize, coordinate and implement nursing care for pre-op and post-surgical patients.
• Develop patient plans of care including problems, goals, evaluations and interventions.
• Monitor heart rate, blood pressure, breathing; manage pain and nausea after anesthesia.

USPI Pearland Surgery Center is seeking a motivated PreOp/PACU RNto join our team. We have 2 main OR rooms and 2 endoscopy rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Orthopedic, ENT, Urology, Colorectal, General, Plastic, Pain Management, Podiatry, GI Endoscopy. We are looking for a candidate to be available Monday-Friday and 1 Saturday a month based on staff rotation, schedule subject to changed based on surgical schedule and flow of day. Candidate needs to be available for some early mornings and later evenings.

Position requires weekdays only and 1 Saturday a month based on a staff rotation -- no holidays or call. Some later evenings required.

Job Summary: The Pre-Op/PACU RN has the responsibility to plan, direct organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care services for the pre-op and post-surgical patients in a manner consistent with our mission statement. They participate in the development of patient plan of care to include patient problems, goals, evaluations and interventions. This care includes monitoring heart rate, blood pressure, breathing and respiration, as well as managing the pain and nausea that often follow anesthesia. They may have additional responsibilities as designated by the Clinical Director, which include, but are not limited to, serving on committees, and participating in quality improvement audits and projects.

Required Skills

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Texas Nursing License
• Current BLS and ACLS required
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Pre-Op/PACU (Previous experience working in an ambulatory surgical setting preferred)
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understand principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
• Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics.
