Job summary

United Surgical Partners International is seeking a motivated RN PreOp to join USPI South Texas Specialty Hospital in San Antonio, TX. The RN PreOp administers perioperative nursing care for outpatient procedures in Orthopedic and Spine surgeries, ensuring safety and quality throughout the patient journey.

Requirements include an unrestricted RN license in Texas, completion from an accredited nursing program, and 1–3 years in PreOP/PACU with BLS/ALS/PALS current.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • 1–3 years' experience in PreOP/PACU.
  • Ambulatory surgical center experience preferred.
  • Current BLS, ALS and PALS.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic techniques.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality perioperative nursing care using the nursing process and plan of care.
  • Deliver safe, patient-family centered care in the perioperative setting.
  • Adhere to organizational policies and safety standards in the operating and pre/post-operative areas.
  • Support the mission and values of USPI South Texas Specialty Hospital.

USPI South Texas Specialty Hospital is seeking a motivated RN PreOp to join our team. We have 25 Beds and 8 OR rooms and 3 ER Rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Orthopedic, Spine

Job Summary: The PreOp RN is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The RN provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The RN supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The RN reports to the Manager of Peri-operative Services.

Qualifications
  • Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU
  • Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
  • Must have current BLS, ALS and PALS
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
  • Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
