United Surgical Partners International, Inc. is seeking a motivated Pre-Op/PACU RN to join our Pearland Surgery Center team.

The position supports outpatient surgical procedures across multiple specialties, with a schedule Monday-Friday and one Saturday per month based on staff rotation. The nurse will plan, direct, and coordinate pre-op and post-anesthesia care, monitor vital signs, manage pain and nausea, and ensure aseptic technique in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Texas Nursing License.
• Current BLS and ACLS required.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Pre-Op/PACU.
• Ambulatory surgical setting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management.
• Understand aseptic technique and implementation.
• Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics.

We are seeking a motivated PreOp/PACU RN to join our team. We have 2 main OR rooms and 2 endoscopy rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Orthopedic, ENT, Urology, Colorectal, General, Plastic, Pain Management, Podiatry, GI Endoscopy. We are looking for a candidate who is available Monday-Friday and 1 Saturday a month based on staff rotation, schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of day. Candidate needs to be available for some early mornings and later evenings.

Position Details

Position requires weekdays only and 1 Saturday a month based on a staff rotation -- no holidays or call. Some later evenings required.

Job Summary

The Pre-Op/PACU RN has the responsibility to plan, direct, organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care services for the pre-op and post-surgical patients in a manner consistent with our mission statement. They participate in the development of patient plan of care to include patient problems, goals, evaluations and interventions. This care includes monitoring heart rate, blood pressure, breathing and respiration, as well as managing the pain and nausea that often follow anesthesia. They may have additional responsibilities as designated by the Clinical Director, which include, but are not limited to, serving on committees, and participating in quality improvement audits and projects.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Texas Nursing License
• Current BLS and ACLS required
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Pre-Op/PACU (Previous experience working in an ambulatory surgical setting preferred)
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understand principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
• Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics.
