Job summary

FMOL Health in Baton Rouge is seeking a registered nurse to provide professional nursing care for patients according to established standards. You will assist physicians and staff with daily patient care coordination and access, and help schedule appointments, procedures, tests and referrals.

The role includes preparing exam rooms, assisting during exams, administering medications and treatments, and possibly phlebotomy and EKGs.

Qualifications

• One year of professional nursing experience.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Proficient in English; strong communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care following established standards and practices.
• Assist physicians and staff with daily coordination of patient care and access.
• Coordinate patient flow; schedule appointments, procedures, tests and referrals.
• Serve as preceptor for clinical staff.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist during examinations, treatments and testing.
• Administer medications and treatments; may perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and assist with specific procedures.
• Observe, document and report patient conditions and responses to treatments to physicians.
