A leading healthcare organization seeks a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) to join their team in Connecticut. Candidates must be licensed in Connecticut and have at least 3 years of ICU experience.

As an integral member of the Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS) healthcare team, the Registered Professional Nurse (RN) upholds the YNHHS mission, vision, values, and strategic initiatives to provide the highest level of patient-centered care. The RN practices professional nursing within the legal and ethical framework established by the Connecticut Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Scope and Standards for Nursing Practice, ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the YNHHS Professional Practice Model. The role of the RN is exemplified by leadership, delegation, collaboration, effective communication, and ensuring quality outcomes. The RN provides care that:
Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred. All newly hired RNs must have current BCLS certification or obtain it within one month of hire.
Experience: All RNs are encouraged to advance through the SPIRE clinical advancement program.
Licensure: Licensed and currently registered in Connecticut. Clinical specialty certification is highly encouraged.
Special Skills: Same as experience; encouraged to advance through SPIRE program.
Requires prolonged standing, walking, and use of sight, hearing, and touch. Exposure to infectious diseases, physical, mental, and emotional illness, end-of-life conditions, and death. Moderate stress and injury risk from patient care. Must be able to assist with patients weighing from 5 to 300 pounds.
A minimum of 3 years of ICU experience is required.
