Job summary

Sibley Memorial Hospital, part of Johns Hopkins Health System, seeks an experienced RN for the Pre‑op/Phase II Recovery Unit in a 13‑room OR environment serving Plastic Surgery, Gyn, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedic, Otolaryngology, Surgical Oncology, Vascular, and Robotics.

Full‑time days, 10‑hour shifts. Requires DC RN license, BLS, and nursing program qualification with 6+ months of RN experience; PACU/ICU experience preferred and training is available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license in the District of Columbia.
• BLS CPR certification through AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training.
• Minimum six months RN experience; one year preferred.
• PACU or ICU experience preferred; training offered.

Responsibilities

• Provide RN care in Pre‑op/Phase II Recovery Unit within a 13‑room OR environment.
• Support multiple surgical specialties including Plastic Surgery, Gyn, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedic, Otolaryngology, Surgical Oncology, Vascular, and Robotics.
• Collaborate with perioperative team to ensure safe patient flow and recovery.

Sibley Memorial Hospital, a non‑profit full service 318‑bed acute care community hospital located in Washington, DC. As part of Johns Hopkins Health System, Sibley offers diverse inpatient services and a 24‑hour Emergency Department. This role is an RN in the Pre‑op/Phase II Recovery Unit, working in a 13‑room OR environment serving multiple specialties including Plastic Surgery, Gyn, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Otolaryngology, Surgical Oncology, Vascular Surgery, and Robotics.

Shift: Full‑time days, 10 hour day shift.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license in the District of Columbia.
• BLS CPR certification through AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training required.
• Minimum six (6) months RN experience required; 1 year preferred.
• PACU or ICU experience preferred; will train the right acute care nurse.

Salary Range: Minimum $43.25/hour – Maximum $67.04/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
