Job summary

Scottsdale Endoscopy Center is hiring a RN Pre Op PACU full-time to provide comprehensive care for patients recovering from anesthesia and sedation. Under the direct supervision of the Pre-Op/PACU manager, the nurse will implement orders, monitor patients, ensure safety and privacy, and assist in procedure rooms as needed.

The role includes training to work as an OR Circulator in the Endoscopy Suites and requires strong nursing judgment, critical care experience, and excellent communication

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Implement physician orders and provide continuous nursing care for all patients.
• continually evaluate patient condition, ensuring safety, comfort and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation and sterile technique as deemed appropriate.
• Provide total care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient and family pre-discharge.
