Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc is seeking a PreOp/PACU/Circulator for an ambulatory surgery center in Texas. The role requires weekday shifts with no holidays, weekends, or on-call.

You will perform pre-operative assessments, post-operative care, and circulating duties in a 1-OR, 3-procedure center focused on gastroenterology. Responsibilities include ensuring patient readiness, IV starts, patient education, and maintaining sterile field throughout surgery.

Qualifications

• Current Texas Nursing License.
• Current CPR, ACLS, and BLS.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum 2-year experience in a hospital setting or ASC setting.
• Any perioperative setting is appreciated, but not all areas required as we cross train.

Responsibilities

• Pre-operative duties: assess patient health, verify IDs, obtain consent, identify surgeon and procedure, record vitals, start IVs, inform patient and staff.
• Post-operative duties: assess recovery, monitor vitals, document findings, educate patients, watch for changes and notify physician, provide patient education.
• OR Circulating duties: assist with equipment, advocate for patient safety, position patient, monitor patient throughout, maintain sterile field, use clinical judgment.
