Job summary

Scottsdale Endoscopy Center in Scottsdale, AZ is hiring a RN Pre Op/PACU Full Time. Under direct supervision, the PACU nurse implements physician orders, maintains continuity and quality of care, and evaluates patient status with safety, comfort and privacy in mind.

The role includes assisting physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and training to work as an OR Circulator in the Endoscopy Suites, with opportunities for growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Implement physician orders and provide continuity and quality of nursing care while continually evaluating patient condition.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times and assist physicians in procedure rooms as needed.
• Provide total care for patients emerging from anesthesia and/or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and discharge planning.
• Receive training to work as an OR Circulator in the Endoscopy Suites.

Scottsdale Endoscopy Center is hiring a RN Pre Op PACU Full Time.

• 4 Endoscopy Rooms
• Our technology allows surgeons to perform procedures in the specialty areas of: Gastroenterology including: EGDs, Colonoscopy, EGD/Colonoscopy, Sigmoidoscopy

Job Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Pre-Op/PACU manager, the PACU nurse is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients'' condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all time. At times, assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation and utilizing sterile technique as deemed appropriate. Responsible for providing total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation. Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

The individual hired for this position will also receive training to work as an OR Circulator in the Endoscopy Suites.
