Job summary

USPI New Mexico Multispecialty Surgery Center is seeking an RN Pre-op/PACU to provide quality patient care in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center environment. The RN will utilize the nursing process and medical plan of care to support patient-family centered perioperative care across multiple specialties.

Requirements include NM RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and 2 years PACU or critical care experience. Strong communication and prioritization skills are essential to thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of New Mexico.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care using nursing process and plan of care in perioperative services.
• Support multiple specialties including Orthopedics, ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology.
• Ensure safety and family-centered care throughout perioperative phases.

The RN Pre-op/PACU is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The RN Pre-op/PACU provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The RN Pre-op/PACU supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Experienced in supporting in the following specialties: Orthopedics, ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
