Job summary

Orthopaedic South Surgical Center in McDonough, GA is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN) for a full-time position.

The PACU RN provides continuity and quality nursing care for patients emerging from anesthesia, with assessment, planning, and evaluation prior to discharge. Qualifications include GA RN license, BLS/ACLS, and 2 years PACU/CCU experience; comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
  • Active RN license in the state.
  • BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
  • 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide continuity and quality nursing care for patients in PACU.
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care as patients recover.
  • Assist physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile technique.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort and privacy at all times.

PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN) at Orthopaedic South Surgical Center

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
  • Active RN license in the state
  • BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
  • 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
  • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
  • Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
