Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• 1-3 years RN experience.
• Experience in orthopedic, neurosurgical, pain management specialties preferred.
• Current state license as a registered nurse.
• BLS certification; ACLS and PALS certifications must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Effective communication skills; both orally and written.
• Computer skills needed.
• Ability to manage a team and work with others to ensure quality patient care.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Screening for Surgeries.
• Provide patient care planning and documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians and multi-disciplinary team.
• Coordinate discharge planning and patient education.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.
• Adhere to hospital policies, confidentiality and safety guidelines.
