Medical City Arlington is seeking a Registered Nurse for Pre-Admission Testing to evaluate patients before surgery and educate families about perioperative processes. You will prepare patients, administer preoperative care, and verify surgical sites in a collaborative operating room environment.

The role emphasizes patient safety, evidence-based practice, and strong teamwork with providers, nurses, and surgical staff to ensure smooth workflows and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required within applicable state regulations.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Associate degree or Bachelor degree in Nursing required.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide education to patients and families about procedures and peri-operative process.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy, preoperative medications, and site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care using evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including providers and surgeons.
• Apply nursing process, critical thinking, and leadership to deliver safe care.
• Monitor patient condition and document changes thoroughly.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment, and follow-up.
