Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Per Diem RN - Postpartum for Arlington Heights, IL. Shifts run 7pm–7:30am with a 32-72 hour per 6-week schedule. The role focuses on patient assessment, care coordination and family education, while maintaining high nursing standards.

You will collaborate with the care team, participate in quality improvements, and stay current with practice standards and regulations to ensure safe, evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• License: Current Illinois nursing license.
• Certification: CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Experience: 2 years of postpartum nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient assessment and data collection involving patient, family and other caregivers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to ensure safe, timely interventions.
• Communicates clearly with patients and staff in person, by phone and in writing.
• Educates patient and family based on assessment to meet learning needs.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives and nursing practice evaluation.

Hourly Pay Range: $37.25 - $57.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position: RN - Postpartum - Per Diem
Location: Arlington Heights, IL
Per Diem Hours: 7pm-7:30am
Per Diem Commitment Level: 32-72 hours per 6-week schedule

What you will do

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are consistent, safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with all customers, in person, on the phone and in writing.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet their specific learning needs.
• Participates in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice by participating in quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains professional knowledge in current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.

What you will need

• Education: Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing
• License: Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois
• Certification: Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
• 2 years of recent experience in postpartum nursing
