NorthShore University HealthSystem in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking an RN - Mother Baby - Per Diem to join our per diem night shift team from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am. You will perform patient assessment, coordinate care, educate families, and collaborate with the care team while maintaining current nursing knowledge and licensure requirements.

This role offers a per diem schedule with 32-72 hours per 6-week cycle and eligible benefits such as incentive pay, tuition reimbursement, and retirement

Formación

• Associate degree or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Current licensure to practice nursing in Illinois (RN).
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsabilidades

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly with patients and staff in person, on the phone and in writing.
• Individualizes patient/family teaching based on assessment to meet learning needs.
• Participates in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice through quality improvement.
• Maintains professional knowledge of current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.

Hourly Pay Range:

$37.25 - $57.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Full Time/Part Time: Per Diem
• Hours: 7pm-7:30am
• Per Diem Commitment Level: 32-72 hours per 6-week schedule
• Required Travel: No

What you will do:

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are consistent, safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with all customers, in person, on the phone and in writing.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet their specific learning needs.
• Participates in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice by participating in quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains professional knowledge in current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.

What you will need:

• Education: Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing
• License: Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois
• Certification: Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
