Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an experienced RN to care for postpartum patients in a high-energy unit. Responsibilities include assessing mothers and newborns, managing IVs, and coordinating with the care team to ensure smooth discharges.

Qualified candidates will have 2+ years postpartum RN experience, an active RN license, BLS, and proficiency with EPIC EMR in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide postpartum care for vaginal and C-section patients.
• Maintain patient-to-nurse ratios of 1:3–4 couples per shift.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams and discharge staff.
• Perform blood draws, IV management, and routine assessments.

Description:This position is focused on providing care for postpartum patients.Patient types include vaginal and C-section deliveries, with occasional overflow hysterectomies.You will manage patient ratios of 1 RN to 3-4 couplets.Support staff includes 2-3 CNAs per shift.Duties for CNAs include assisting with vital signs, glucose checks, baths, feeding, ambulating patients, and hourly rounding.Nurses are responsible for blood draws and IV management.The position also requires collaboration with a resource nurse and discharge nurses.Technology used includes EPIC for EMR, Alaris for IV pumps, and various monitoring equipment.The work environment is busy, and team collaboration is essential.
