Job summary

The St. Charles Health System is seeking a Post-Licensure Specialist RN to manage multiple nursing education programs in Bend, Oregon.

This exempt role coordinates residency programs, fellowships, and continuing education while ensuring alignment with accreditation standards and organizational goals. The ideal candidate holds a nursing degree with teaching credentials and has several years' clinical and educational leadership experience, supporting professional development across nursing and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
Master’s degree in nursing education preferred.
Certificate in Nursing Education or equivalent preparation/experience.
ANPD specialty certification upon hire or once eligible.
Four years of acute care or critical nursing experience.
Two years in a clinical leadership or education role.
Experience with adult learning principles.
Experience with accrediting bodies (ANCC) and education systems.

Responsibilities

Manages Nurse Residency, Nurse Fellowships, Charge Nurse Training, and Preceptor Development.
Coordinates graduate nurse residents into programs with assessments and orientations.
Ensures compliance with Vizient/AACN standards and external accreditation.
Provides logistical support for CME/continuing education events.
Collaborates with leaders to develop curricula and evaluate programs.
Liaises with regional schools and libraries as needed.
Supports Lean principles and continuous improvement in education.
Maintains records for faculty appointments with regional medical schools.
