Job summary

Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Post Cardiac Cath unit. This full-time night position supports 2 South Med Surg/Telemetry with a 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio and collaborative care on a 24-bed unit.

You will perform patient assessments, initiate nursing interventions, ensure age-appropriate care, and document care for medical necessity. BLS, ACLS, and PALS training are required or pursued after hire.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license is required.
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire; ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings.
• Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care.
• Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record.
• Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient.
