Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Post Cardiac Cath Recovery unit on the night shift. The 24-bed unit operates with a 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio and supports PCT/PCA assistance for patient care.

Qualified candidates hold an RN license and an associate's degree, with BLS required within 30 days and ACLS/PALS within six months. One year of experience is preferred and ASLS certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs.

• Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care.
• Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record.
• Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient.

More About Our Team

The 2 South Med Surg/Telemetry unit specializes in Post Cardiac Cath Recovery and offers a supportive and dynamic environment for both patients and staff. With a capacity of 24 patient beds, the unit maintains a 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, ensuring quality care and manageable workloads. Each shift is staffed according to our matrix, with Patient Care Assistants (PCA) or Patient Care Technicians (PCT) present to assist nurses and support patient needs.

How You'll Contribute

A Registered Nurse, RN who excels in this role:

• Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred
• ASLS certification preferred
