Job summary

Cleveland Clinic’s Digestive Disease Institute in Ohio is hiring an RN in the PACU to provide direct nursing care, implement and monitor care plans, and coordinate patient discharge needs. This role works nights from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. with no on-call, weekends, or holidays.

The successful candidate will have RN licensure, at least 1 year of acute care experience, BLS and ACLS certifications, and may benefit from tuition reimbursement and relocation assistance offered by the hospital.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• One year current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting.
• Will consider military RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through AHA or ARC within one year of hire.

The Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) cares for post-surgical patients recovering from anesthesia. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• One year current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting
• Will consider military RN experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within one year of hire

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
• Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
• Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $35.50

Maximum hourly: $55.60
