Cleveland Clinic’s Euclid Hospital invites experienced RNs to join the PACU team, delivering direct post-anesthesia care and monitoring patients as anesthesia wears off. You will implement care plans, assess conditions, and document accurately while coordinating physician orders.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program).
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within six months of hire.

The Post-Anesthesia Care Unit’s (PACU) team of caregivers at Euclid Hospital pride themselves on providing top-quality and patient-centered care all while ensuring the safety of their patients. As an RN in the PACU, you will provide direct nursing care to diverse populations of post-surgical patients waiting for their anesthesia to wear off. This includes monitoring patient’s health, assessing patient’s pain levels, administering medication, and maintaining up-to-date patient records.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Pre and post op/PACU experience
Physical Requirements:
  • Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
  • Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
  • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Personal Protective Equipment:
  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $35.50

Maximum hourly: $55.60
