Job summary

Family Solutions Practice Management Solutions in Lewiston, ME seeks a licensed nurse to partner with residents and care providers for direct and indirect nursing care. You will work on 3 East (Alzheimer's/dementia), Transitional Rehabilitation Unit, and 3 West (long-term care) to support patient recovery and well‑being.

Flexibility to cover shifts 24/7 and to float between units is required, while upholding nursing best practices and safety standards in a fast-paced care setting.

Responsibilities

• Partner with residents and care providers to deliver direct and indirect nursing care.
• Care on units including 3 East (Alzheimer's/dementia) with specialized care.
• Transitional Rehabilitation Unit (short-term skilled nursing and rehab) including IV therapy and wound care.
• 3 West (long-term care) in a home-like setting.
• Demonstrate flexibility to provide 24/7 coverage and float to other units as needed.
• Maintain proficiency in medical terminology and nursing best practices.
• Adhere to all regulatory, quality, and safety standards.

Job Summary

• Partner with residents and care providers to deliver direct and indirect nursing care.
• Work on specialized units including:
• 3 East: 31-bed unit for Alzheimer's/dementia residents, utilizing verbal and non-verbal communication, and understanding behavioral communication.
• Transitional Rehabilitation Unit: 42-bed unit providing short-term skilled nursing and rehabilitation for patients recovering from surgeries, fractures, strokes, and other short-term illnesses/injuries. Responsibilities include IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment.
• 3 West: 42-bed long-term care unit for residents needing extended care in a home-like setting.
• Demonstrate flexibility to provide coverage 24/7 and float to other units as needed.
• Maintain proficiency in medical terminology and nursing best practices.
• Adhere to all regulatory, quality, and safety standards.
