Job summary

Belcara Health in Baltimore, MD is seeking a professional Medical Assistant to support the Plastic Surgery team. The role focuses on welcoming patients, rooming, vital signs, EMR documentation, and ensuring smooth patient flow from check-in to departure.

The MA will assist providers during in-office procedures, maintain sterile technique, and help with charting, patient education, and pre/post-procedure instructions.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience in plastic surgery or outpatient clinic is a plus.
• Excellent patient communication and teamwork required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and room them in a professional, welcoming manner.
• Record vital signs, medications, allergies, and visit details in the EMR.
• Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and prepare procedure rooms.
• Document ROS and concerns accurately and promptly for provider review.
• Support providers during in-office procedures and post-procedure instructions.
• Assist with patient education and ensure timely follow-up communication.
