Job summary

Marina Plastic Surgery is seeking an experienced perioperative (OR) Registered Nurse to join our collaborative team in a modern cosmetic surgery facility. You will work with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the OR Manager to deliver perioperative care from pre-op through intra-op circulation to PACU recovery and safe discharge.

The ideal candidate will have OR/perioperative experience, active RN licensure, and BLS; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain.

Qualifications

• RN licensed with perioperative/OR experience.
• Current BLS; ACLS required or willingness to obtain.
• Plastic surgery or outpatient surgery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Op duties: greet/check-in patients, obtain vitals, start IVs, review history/consents, verify labs, provide pre-op education, assist with pre-op photos/markings.
• OR Circulating: circulate cosmetic surgery cases, maintain sterile field, assist anesthesia, manage intraoperative docs, coordinate with families.
• PACU Recovery: monitor/recover post-op, assess airway/pain/nausea, perform dressing changes, deliver discharge instructions.
• Teamwork & Safety: infection control, med administration, inventory, CPR/AED readiness, maintain clean, safe environment.

Surgical/OR (Perioperative) Registered Nurse — Marina Plastic Surgery

Marina Plastic Surgery is hiring an experienced Perioperative (OR) Registered Nurse to join our collaborative team in a modern cosmetic surgery facility. The Surgical RN will work directly with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the OR Manager to deliver excellent perioperative care — from pre‑op through intra‑op circulation to PACU recovery and safe discharge. Key Responsibilities

• Pre‑Op: Greet and check in patients, obtain vitals, start IVs, review medical history and consents, verify labs/clearances, provide pre‑op education, assist with pre‑op photos and surgical markings.
• OR Circulating: Circulate cosmetic surgery cases, prepare/maintain sterile field as needed, assist/support anesthesia, manage intraoperative documentation, and coordinate communication with families/caregivers.
• PACU Recovery: Monitor and recover patients post‑op, assess/manage airway, pain, and nausea, perform dressing changes, and deliver clear, thorough post‑op discharge instructions.
• Teamwork & Safety: Maintain infection control and medication administration standards, participate in inventory and supply management, respond calmly and effectively to emergencies (CPR/AED/crash cart), and help maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active RN license.
• Current BLS; ACLS required or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• OR/surgical experience required; comfortable administering medications and supporting anesthesia.
• Plastic surgery or outpatient surgery center experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to support patients and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and clinical staff.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexibility to meet variable surgical schedules.
