Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to determine donor eligibility, manage donor safety and review laboratory results in a plasma donation center. You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician guidance to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

The role requires an active RN license, CPR/AED, and 2 years clinical experience, with sign-on bonus opportunities and comprehensive benefits. The position is located in Lemon Grove, CA and involves on-site work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including nursing program with state requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: RN, NP or PA.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs; coordinate with Center Physician for guidance.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees where applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and advise on occupational health/ER evaluation; follow EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist investigations as needed.
