Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC Health) seeks an RN Periop-Procedural Team Coordinator to proactively support Perioperative services. You will lead staffing, coordinate CTMs, and drive safety, quality and efficiency across units.

Responsibilities include onboarding new hires, evaluating staff competence, and collaborating with Perioperative leaders to standardize operations and improve outcomes. RN must meet licensure and BLS requirements, CNOR within 12 months, and bring OR

Qualifications

• RN licensure in SC or a compact state.
• Current BLS certification required.
• CNOR certification due within 12 months of hire.
• BSN degree or current enrollment with expected 4-year completion.
• Minimum 2 years operating room experience (scrub and circulate).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate CTMs and assist in staffing across Perioperative areas.
• Lead/Co-Lead Working Specialty Groups and document actions and outcomes.
• Collaborate with SPD and Periop units to standardize workflows and improve efficiency.
• Support onboarding and competency training with Nursing Professional Development.
• Provide feedback and manage performance issues per disciplinary policies.

Education

RN licensure (SC Board of Nursing or compact state)

BLS Certification (AHA or ARC)

CNOR certification within 12 months of hire

BSN degree or enrollment with 4-year completion target

Operating Room experience (scrub and circulate) 2 years
