Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina Health is seeking an RN Periop-Procedural Team Coordinator to drive staffing and operational excellence in the OR and perioperative services. You will lead specialty groups, support onboarding, and ensure CTM competency while collaborating with SPD and perioperative leaders to improve patient care, safety, and efficiency.

The role requires OR experience (scrub and circulate), SC RN licensure, BLS, and CNOR within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing degree required; CNOR certification within 12 months of hire.
• SC or compact-state RN licensure required; BLS certification required.
• 2 years operating room experience—scrub and circulate.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead Working Specialty Groups (WSGs) and ensure CTMs attendance and timely communication of issues and solutions.
• Collaborate with SPD leadership to optimize perioperative operations and staffing across units.
• Support staffing requests via FTE system; monitor postings and interview candidates within 1–3 days.
• Partner with Nursing Professional Development for onboarding and competency training; provide constructive feedback and yearly evaluations.
