Rolling Hills Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a per diem pool position to join our growing team. The RN provides direct patient care as prescribed by the physician and treatment team within a behavioral health setting.

Responsibilities include medical management, patient assessments, and ensuring environmental safety. Training staff, documenting care, and maintaining the master treatment plan are essential, with a focus on a therapeutic milieu for patients and families.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
Associates degree in nursing required, Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Tennessee required.
Nursing experience in the behavioral health field preferred.
One year inpatient psychiatric experience with adults and adolescents preferred.
CPR certification (training provided).
Handle with Care (HWC) certification (training provided).

Provide medical management and assessment of patients; ensure environmental safety and crisis management for the patient population.
Direct implementation of behavior management programs and ensure consistent carry-through.
Assign tasks to subordinates and monitor their duties.
Provide training and education to staff, patients, families; document patient care and ensure data is included in the master treatment plan.
Work with the treatment team to provide a consistently therapeutic milieu.

Is responsible for making the patient and task assignments to subordinates and monitors their duties. The Registered Nurse provides training and education to staff, patients, families; documents patient care and ensures data is accurate and included in the master treatment plan via timely nursing care plan updates. Works with the treatment team to provide consistently therapeutic milieu.
